YouTube allows you to customize the thumbnails for your videos, though very few people use that feature.  Instead they use the seemingly random thumbnails that are less than flattering to the speaker during the video. 

The easiest way around this is to take a picture either before or after the video is done so that you have an appropriate thumbnail.  But I have found that in many cases making a more professional thumbnail using PowerPoint attracts a lot more views to your videos.
